As the saying goes, the bonfire burns higher when everyone adds firewood to it. The AIIB belongs to all its member states. It is designed to facilitate common development in the region and the world at large. To succeed, it needs to count on the solidarity, cooperation and synergy of all sides.

亚洲基础设施投资银行（亚投行）理事会7月13日批准贝宁、吉布提、卢旺达加入亚投行。至此，亚投行成员总数达到100个。亚投行理事会是在卢森堡举行的第四届理事会年会上作出上述决定的。根据相关规定，此次新增的三个域外成员尚需完成各自国内程序并向亚投行缴纳首笔注资，才能成为正式成员。
The three-year-old Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on Saturday further expanded its membership to 100 with the approval of the African newcomers of Benin, Djibouti and Rwanda. The decision was made unanimously by AIIB's Board of Governors at its fourth annual meeting held in Luxembourg. The three prospective non-regional members will officially join the AIIB once they complete the required domestic processes and deposit the first capital installment with the bank.
亚洲基础设施投资银行，简称亚投行，是一个政府间性质的亚洲区域多边开发机构，按照多边开发银行的模式和原则运营，重点支持基础设施建设。2013年10月，习近平主席在访问东南亚期间提出筹建亚投行的倡议，是为了向本地区发展中国家基础设施建设提供资金支持。2014年10月，首批22个意向创始成员国代表签署了《筹建亚洲基础设施投资银行备忘录》。2015年6月，50个意向创始成员国代表共同签署《亚洲基础设施投资银行协定》，另外7个国家随后在年底前先后签署。2015年12月，《亚洲基础设施投资银行协定》达到法定生效条件，亚投行正式宣告成立。2016年1月亚投行开业运营，总部设在北京。截至目前，亚投行已批准为数十个项目提供贷款等融资，承诺总额85亿美元。今年5月，亚投行还成功发行了总额25亿美元的首笔美元全球债。
