一部不是改编自超级IP作品的流量剧，也没有当红俊男美女小鲜肉出任主角配角，而是由最高人民检察院影视中心出品、取材于真实事件的反腐题材作品《人民的名义》，不仅在豆瓣上得到高达9.0的高分，更被紫光阁、共青团中央、人民日报、新华社等众多党和政府的官方媒体多次报道，吸引了从中青年到00后、甚至10后等各个年龄层的大批粉丝。《人民的名义》如此“叫好又叫座”，也让很多政治小白第一次了解了众多官员之间的职务名称、关系以及分工。今天我们再锦上添花，向大家普及一下 “省委书记”、“厅长”、“局长”这些官场名词怎么翻译。
1 沙瑞金
官职：汉东省省委书记 the Secretary of Handong Provincial Party Committee / the Handong Provincial Party Chief
级别：正部级 Provincial-Ministerial level
“汉东省委书记”的表达：Secretary of Handong Provincial Party Committee（注意：这是一个专有名词，所以要大写首字母）。官职中的“书记”还有一个相对简单的表达：party chief，指党委书记。因此，“汉东省委书记”也可以称为the Handong Provincial Party Chief，或the Party Chief of Handong Province。这里我们顺便学习下secretary的相关表达。总书记用general secretary来表示；如：中共中央总书记the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China

“汉东省委副书记”比较容易翻译，在刚才“汉东省委书记”前面加上一个“副”字就好了。而“副”在英文中有这么几个词：vice, deputy, associate。
一般来说，vice使用较广，比如副总统（vice president）、副总理（vice premier）、副部长（vice minister）、副省长（vice governor）、副校长（vice principal）。
学术头衔的“副职”通常用 associate，比如说：副教授（associate professor）、副研究员（associate researcher）。
而跟director、dean、secretary搭配的“副职”，通常用deputy。
根据这个规律，“汉东副省委书记”我们可以说：the Deputy Secretary of Handong Provincial Party Committee，或the Deputy Party Chief of Handong Province。
另外，育良书记还是“政法委书记”。这个“政法委”怎么翻？

达康书记是省委常委，“省委”的英文表达刚才搞定了，那么“常委”用英语怎么说？
其实“常委”就是“常务委员会”的简称，英语叫standing committee，这个standing不是“站立的”，而表示“固定的”意思。“汉东省委常委”就可以说成Member of the Standing Committee of Handong Provincial Party Committee。
“京州市委书记”这个职位，套用刚才省委书记的说法，把“省级”（provincial）换成“市级”（Municipal）就可以了，全称是：the Secretary of Jingzhou Municipal Party Committee。

“检察院”的英文名词特别长，叫procuratorate，而“检察院”任职的“检察官”叫“procurator”，那么“检察长”就是所有检察官的头，自然就是：chief procurator，或者general procurator。

“厅长”的职务，可以用“director”来表示。那么“汉东省公安厅厅长”就可以说：the Director of Handong Public Security Department。
