immerse、dip、duck、plunge与submerge这些动词均有“沉浸、浸入”之意。
immerse : 侧重全部被液体所覆盖，也可用于比喻意义。
- She got some books out of the library and immersed herself in Jewish history and culture.
她从图书馆借了一些书，然后埋头于犹太历史和文化之中。 - The shells should be immersed in boiling water for two minutes.
贝类应在沸水中浸上两分钟。
dip : 指部分地、暂时地或轻微地放进液体，多暗示一种谨慎或试探性的动作。
