区别辨析bump、clash、collide与conflict

这些动词均含“碰撞”之意。

bump : 主要指具体东西的有力碰撞,也可指碰到困难或障碍。

  • She bumped into his tray, knocking the food onto his lap.
    她碰着了他的盘子,把食物撞翻到了他的腿上。
  • I bumped my head on the shelf as I stood up.
    我起身时头撞在了书架上。

clash : 指有力的或带有金属碰击声的打、敲或相互冲击。

  • The saucepans clashed as he piled them into the sink.

  • She clashed the cymbals together.
    她敲响铙钹。

collide : 多指移动的物体带毁坏性的猛烈相撞,也可指严重的直接冲突。

conflict : 这个词以前可表具体东西的撞击,现在常指冲突或对立。
