这两个动词均有“集中、聚集”之意。
concentrate : 指把人或物集中在一起，也可指把精力或注意力集中于某一事物上。
- Come on, concentrate! We don't have all day to do this.
快点儿，集中注意力！我们可没有一整天时间来干这事。 - I can't concentrate on my work with all that noise.
那么吵，我没法集中精力。 - I find running concentrates the mind (= helps me to think).
我发现跑步能使我集中心思。 - I'm going to concentrate on my writing for a while.

focus : 侧重指把光、热、射线等集中于一点，也可指把思想或精力等集中于某人或某事情上。
