英语口语 | “栽跟头”英语怎么说?

“栽跟头”,本意是“摔跤,跌跤(tumble; fall)”,常用来比喻经历失败或遭受挫折( suffer a setback)。与英文惯用语“come a cropper”意思相近,表示“suffer a sudden and embarrassing failure”或“accidentally fall and hurt oneself”。
