深入解读
Inordinate 一词源自拉丁语 inordinatus （无序的、没有安排的），由 in （无）+ ordin （命令、秩序）+ ate （具有……的、有……性质的）构成，14世纪末进入英语时原表示“无规则的、紊乱的”，比如：

keep inordinate hours
后来从 not kept within orderly limits （不保持在有序范围之内）这个概念（notion）出发，将 inordinate 的含义引申为“过度的、过分的、极度的”或“无节制的、放纵的”，强调超出权威规定的范围或基于理性判断确定的界限，比如：
